I’ll admit, my relationship with needles has always been a little standoffish but I’ve had great success with acupuncture in the past, I decided to try it again.
I’ve always been fascinated with the idea of what acupuncture could actually do for your mind and body. The idea of needles being poked into certain parts of your body to help release tension can sound like a horror film when described out loud; however, I’ll remind you, the first time that I tried acupuncture (to help get pregnant)… was the month I got pregnant with JZ.
After visiting Alivia Acupuncture (aliviaacupunctureaz.com) I wanted to disclose exactly what the experience was like. The location in north Scottsdale (101/Shea) is clean, quiet, and as zen as you’d expect. Karla is wonderful at explaining everything and asking questions throughout the process. The day I visited we were targeting my extreme fatigue (mom life) and constant bloating (nearly 40 life) With a few painless needles and a quick power nap, I felt more energized and ready to tackle the rest of my day.
In addition to covering a variety of areas on my body, one needle was placed on the top of my head, a few were placed in the middle of my tummy, and a couple were placed on my legs. All of these points were supposed to help direct blood and get my energy back to normal.
A few weeks later, I’m happy to report the bloating is down and I’m thankful to Karla for suggesting a digestive enzyme and probiotic to add to my morning routine.
A few other things that Karla can help with include
Pain of all types
Nervous system disorders
