NEW YEAR, NEW HAIR

January 23, 2020

I upgraded!

My hair that is. With the first month of 2020 nearly behind us, I’m picking an aspect of my life to upgrade every month and January it was all about the hair. Goodbye strawberry blonde, hello rich auburn perfect for Winter. So, what did I do? I headed to Etch Salon at Kierland Commons for a visit with 3 expert stylists in the world of cut, color, and style. ETCH specializes in advanced coloring, cutting, and event hair and the staff stays current on trends and techniques with exclusive hands on training and product knowledge. From the moment you step in the gorgeous lobby, you can tell ETCH strives in evolving their clients look, while helping to maintain their hair goals with style tips and take home hair systems.

First of all, if you haven’t been to Etch- you gotta go! It’s a beautiful salon and the staff is so friendly and talented. I love to visit Etch and leave the decisions to their team- I trust them completely! This time, the stylists decided to go with a deep red color and lighten up my layers because I told them my head felt “heavy”. After we made a fame plan for color and cut- the team got started on mixing what looked like a bowl of ketchup! After the color set, it was time for an AMAZING blow out. We decided to do the cut while my hair was dry- this was something new to me and really interesting and effective.  They even taught me how to make my stubborn part lay the other direction- something I thought was impossible.

Here is my BEFORE (fried, heavy, and a little too yellow for my liking!)

We decided to add some waves to my hair after the cut was perfect, and I love how all 3 stylists I worked with taught me how to recreate the look at home. I mean, I would LOVE to visit ETCH everyday for a style, but….. 🙂

They also suggested a few key products that are game changers including a Keraststase shine spray I cannot live without.  The result was a deep red that is perfect for the Fall and Winter months in AZ and I could not be happier with my ETCH makeover. It’s never too late to reinvent yourself and starting with a hair makeover is a great place to start.

Here’s my AFTER:

If you’re thinking about a new do in 2020, I fully support you. Feel free to visit ETCH and consult with one of their experts for your next look and if you have any questions, I’d love to talk to you about my incredible experience with the ETCH team.
