I’m sharing one of the most spectacular staycations with you today- in fact you may not even know this incredible property exists a short drive from the 101 freeway! Tucked into the mountains of Fountain Hills, there is a somewhat secret gem of a resort and I’m sharing all the details because it’s a MUST visit whether you’re a local or visitor to AZ.
Copperwynd Resort and Club is an intimate boutique-style property that provides guests with an exceptional getaway to rejuvenate the mind, body, and soul. It’s taken me years to finally check out this property that features dramatic views of the city of Fountain Hills, a fantastic pool and spa, and delicious restaurant on property. Every room features a view of the majestic McDowell Mountains and the hotel is short drive, about 20 minutes from the 101 and Shea Blvd.
In addition to spectacular views, the resort offers luxury accommodations along with a full-service spa, spacious swimming pools, lighted tennis courts, fitness center complete with a Peloton bike and Flourish Restaurant, featuring seasonal contemporary cuisine and cocktails. The spa is relaxing and features an extensive spa menu featuring massages, facials, and body treatments including the Spirit Stone therapy that utilizes river rock basalt stones and Bindi oil to smooth and soothe away tension. There’s also a steam room and the most divine relaxation room that I could have spent hours in!
Flourish, the on site restaurant serves as a gathering spot just off the main lobby and dishes up delicious farm to table cuisine. The contemporary and minimal design of the hotel lobby and restaurant boasts a temperature controlled wine room, large wood communal tables and a custom designed indoor/outdoor dining space. During my visit I had the opportunity to taste a variety of items including tuna tartare, scallops, roasted brussels sprouts, banana crème brulee, and chocolate flourless cake. Besides the food being excellent, the cocktail menu is great- I highly suggest the house margarita. During the day, the pool offers a casual menu that includes one of the best Caesar salads with grilled shrimp I’ve ever had. Speaking of the pool, you wont find a loud DJ spinning tunes here (thank goodness!) Think of the pool as an extension of the spa- very zen and quiet.
With so many Scottsdale vacation destinations to choose from, CopperWynd’s unique location is perfect for a romantic staycation, girls trip, or solo vacay with every amenity you could want at your fingertips.
