So it’s freaking hot and kids are out of school and there’s only so much pool time and movies at home one can take. I get it. Recently, we ventured out of our 5 mile radius of a bubble and headed to Jakes Unlimited. If you know me, you know that it takes a lot to get me out of “the bubble” but I had heard such great things about Jakes that we gave it a shot. Not only did we end up staying for 6 hours (YES, 6 hours!) but we made memories that will last a lifetime and had a blast.
So if your kids bored of their usual summer activities and you’re looking for a way to stay entertained and have fun during these super hot months in AZ, you gotta take a trip to Jakes Unlimited! Jake’s Unlimited features rides, games, and attractions for everyone. Here are my takeaways-
The arcade- a variety of games for all ages. We especially enjoyed air hockey and a pirate game!
Bowling- There are full size lanes and there is a junior bowling area that you can prevent gutterballs (yay!) and use smaller bowling balls. We played 6 games here it was so wonderful- and no tears or feelings of defeat thanks to the gutter bumpers.
Rides- I was shocked how brave JZ was to jump on the Frog Hopper, Radius, and Bumper Cars but he did and he loved them! There’s also a carousel and tea cups similar to the ones at the happiest place on earth.
Laser tag- Believe it or not, this was my first time playing laser tag. JZ had been looking forward to this ever since I showed him a video of YouTube of what it was. Although the vest and gun was hard for a little guy to maneuver, we made it work by me walking with him carrying his vest and he ended up loving it! Meanwhile, I was an easy target standing still holding his vest pack.
Buffet- Ok this might have been the biggest surprise! The buffet was so kid friendly and tasty. I had a baked potato from the potato bar and JZ stacked his plate with pizza, mac and cheese, goldfish, yogurt, fruit, graham crackers, veggies/ranch, and applesauce. It doesn’t get more kid friendly than that. Plus it’s all you can eat and I was surprised how fresh and clean it was.
Overall, Jakes unlimited is unlike anything your kids have visited before. The indoor amusement park with over 170 video games, 12 lanes of bowling, 6 lanes of mini bowling, an unlimited buffet, and most exciting of all, air conditioning for all-day summer fun is having a great summer special for $25 per person (that’s 45% off!) and here’s what you get:
(for reference this is the package we did for 6 hours!)
