Colleen’s Dream Foundation Presents: Evening of Dreams Gala

January 30, 2019

Golfing and Gala for a Good Cause

Colleen’s Dream Foundation will celebrate their sixth annual golf tournament and gala this February with a new theme: Once Upon a Dream. The golf tournament will be held on Friday, February 22 at the Arizona Biltmore Golf Club, and the gala will be on Saturday, February 23 at JW Marriott Camelback Inn. The golf tournament will be hosted by the Teal Tie Society, a newly formed men’s group dedicated to help fundraise for Colleen’s Dream Foundation.

As for the Gala, attendees can expect to learn about the intricacies of ovarian cancer, hear personal accounts from guest speakers who have been affected by ovarian cancer, and join in the honoring of the 2018 Dreamer of the Year who went above and beyond for the foundation. Last year, the gala was attended by more than 650 distinguished guests and raised $200,000 from the live auction and paddle raise portion of the evening alone! This year, the number of attendees is expected to increase and the fundraising bar has been raised. Mark your calendar because this is one event you cannot miss out on!

The gala begins with hosted cocktail hour at 5:30pm, moves into a plated dinner, and ends with dancing, drinks, and late evening bites. Individual gala tickets are $400.

Colleen’s Dream Foundation is a Scottsdale-based nonprofit dedicated to supporting ovarian cancer research. Founded in 2012 by Nicole Cundiff and her husband, Billy, the foundation is dedicated to funding investigational scientific research with the primary goal of developing and establishing an accurate and accessible early detection test for ovarian cancer. Colleen’s Dream Foundation was recently awarded 48 research grants to 27 institutions totaling more than $1.2 million, as well as the Translational Genomics Research Institute (TGen) $450,000 grant to fund a clinical trial for a newly developed ovarian cancer drug treatment. Their goal with said funding is to support research that will lead to improved treatment and reliable early-detection of ovarian cancer.

Oh by the way…

Did you know I had pre cancerous cells prior to having JZ which required surgery AND our plan to have a child to be fast tracked by a few years. Luckily, I’ve been clear ever since and JZ’s timing ended up being perfect for our family but early detection is key and I’m thankful for organizations like Colleen’s Dream Foundation who are doing their part to better women health!! xoxo
