BEST PATIO: ISABELLA’S KITCHEN

September 19, 2018

Its official,  Isabella’s Kitchen might be my favorite patio dining in Scottsdale!  Isabella’s is located near the Grayhawk Golf Club and the hard to miss yellow/orange building is easy to find among the desert landscape.

The Italian inspired menu offers a wide selection of traditional dishes including pasta, pizzas, bruschetta, and salads- bu tI love that there is an Arizona spin with the addition of fish tacos and guacamole because what menu is complete without these two southwest staples? What seems to set Isabella’s apart from the crowd is the dedication to hand prepared, homemade, and fresh ingredients used throughout the menu regardless of what region of the world your food originated from.

Walking into Isabella’s I love the casual but upscale atmosphere and the use of the indoor/outdoor dining spaces with unique touches like rocking chairs and picnic style tables.  Isabella’s is styled after an Italian roadside bistro and is a place where you can relax and be comfortable on a date night or after a round of golf.  The views are sunning and there is a rooftop deck that offers 360 degree views of Scottsdale so going at sunset is highly recommended if you’re looking for the perfect picture!

Obviously the vibe is fabulous, but the food is not to be missed.  We enjoyed starting out with the signature bruschetta- a trio of thick sliced perfectly toasted bread topped with a variety of spreads and fresh meats and cheese. My favorite? Blue cheese with honey and pear!   The hubby opted for spicy shrimp tacos that he barely shared with me- they were THAT good and I had the recommended Deb’s pasta (grilled chicken, tomato, basil, and creamy parmesan sauce) that I subbed spaghetti for gluten free noodles just because I could! I ended up taking half home and enjoying it the next day. It was excellent and I would order the exact same thing again next time! For dessert we had the most delectable lava cake with a hazelnut twist that was surprisingly not too sweet and didn’t leave us in a food coma, as most lava cakes do.

Great food, spectacular views, and excellent service makes Isabella’s Kitchen the complete package! Whether you;’re on a date or dining with a group of friends or family, this place will quickly become your new go-to spot for patio dining in Scottsdale!
