My staycation obsession continues this time at the recently renovated Scottsdale Resort at McCormick Ranch. Recently, a girlfriend and I had the pleasure of enjoying 24 hours at this hidden Scottsdale gem. I’ve attended events at the property before and thought it was lovely but this was the first time I spent the night and explored the grounds. From the newly designed restaurant and bar to the family friendly but not too loud main pool, we loved exploring this gorgeous property!
The day we visited happened to be the only rainy day Arizona has seen in months. This didn’t stop us from setting up shop pool side under a big umbrella and some good gossip magazines. We also happened to be visiting on the day of The Bachelor casting call so you can only imagine the people watching we got to do! Side note: there was an open bar at the casting call, do you think that’s a test they put these women through? Perhaps the young lady who jumped on the hood of a car by the valet stand is not in the running? Just sayin’…
The resort’s atmosphere was quaint and mellow, which was perfect for our low key night. Our room was spacious and we enjoyed sitting out on the covered patio taking in the overcast weather. Another perk is that the Scottsdale greenbelt is just a few footsteps away from the resort. Did I mention the hotel’s locally made southwestern white chocolate bark is available in the lobby should you get a salty or sweet craving?
From the front desk staff to the valet attendants everyone is very accommodating and kind. If you’re looking for a low key getaway in town, The Scottsdale Resort at McCormick Ranch is a great option!
