FIVE FRIDAY FAVES
Ok, it’s taken me 5 days in to January to post on the blog because the flu has taken its toll on our household! First it was the little guy over Christmas break, then it was the hubby, and this week I got a turn. Ugh! Not the way I wanted to start 2018. I’m feeling better now and can’t wait to share all fun people, places, and events 2018 has in store. I did manage to wrangle up my 5 favorite things going on this week in the valley of the sun. Enjoy lovelies!
Cheese Please at SMOCA
Artist duo, The Art Guys, use humor and everyday materials to demystify art. The piece Cheese Grid, consisting of over 600 slices of American cheese, has been on view in the exhibition I’m Sorry But Its Hard to Imagine since May and has become a fan favorite amongst visitors. In partnership with The Art Guys, SMoCA is offering a certificate with an authentic slice of cheese from the art piece which will be signed and numbered by the artists. Limited quantities available, so get yours now and own a slice of history!
Zoppe Italian Family Circus
The circus is coming to town! The Zoppé Family Circus welcomes guests into the intimate 500 seat tent for a one-ring circus that honors the best history of the Old-World Italian tradition. Starring Nino the clown, the circus is propelled by a central story (as opposed to individual acts) that feature acrobatic feats, equestrian showmanship, canine capers, clowning and plenty of audience participation.
