It’s world vegan day and I’m celebrating at one of my favorite spots with locations valley wide: Mad Greens! Although I am far from vegan (we all know I could live off of bread/cheese/wine) I thought today would the perfect day to introduce ya’ll to my go-to spot when I need a little green in my life (and yes, they offer fabulous vegan fare!) Mad Greens can best be described as “locally sourced farm-to-table fast food” and despite what you’ve heard, there are more than salads on the menu! Today all Mad Green locations are rolling out their newest creation: the grain bowl. The hearty and healthy grain bowls join the expanded menu that currently offers salads, sandwiches, wraps, and the new kid on the block: the grain bowl. After listening to customer feedback, the salad-centric scientists behind Mad Greens have hand crafted the hearty new option with a base of gluten free whole grain five rice blend and of course any and all the toppings you heart (or tummy) desires. There are also a few new dressings and flavor profiles that are perfect for Fall. Here are the new flavors Mad Greens has come up with, but of course- they can be completely customized with more than 50 topping options!

Spicy Shrimp & Bacon Bowl: Hearty Grains, Piri Piri Shrimp, Spinach, Green Onions, Cheddar Cheese, Bacon, MAD Spice with Sriracha Almond Vinaigrette
Southwest Bowl: Hearty Grains, Grilled Southwestern Chicken, Spinach, Roasted Corn, Avocado, Tomatoes, Cotija Cheese with Cilantro Chili Lime Dressing
Buddha Bowl: Hearty Grains, Piri Piri Tofu, Spinach, Red Onions, Pumpkin Seeds, Edamame, Carrots with Sriracha Almond Vinaigrette
