On Saturday, October 28th the Montelucia Resort and Spa will be magically transformed into the backdrop for one of the biggest black-tie fundraisers of the year: The Copa Ball benefiting Maricopa Health Foundation. Maricopa Health Foundation is a nonprofit organization supporting Maricopa Integrated Health System, Arizona’s only public health care system. The Foundation raises private funds to improve accessibility, quality of health care, and in-patient comfort for all those who live in Maricopa County and beyond.
Each year, distinguished guests get all dolled up for the evening affair which targets a specifically identified need at the Maricopa Health Foundation (MHF.) This year the money raised will directly benefit the pediatric programs at the Maricopa Integrated Health System (MIHS). Events such as the Copa Ball raise awareness about the Foundation’s mission while educating the community about the important work being done at MIHS in medical treatment, education, and research.
Due the popularity of this event, table sales are closed but sponsorship opportunities remain. If you aren’t planning on attending the ball this year, there are other ways to get involved with the fundraising and volunteer side of MHF. As the wife of a doctor employed but the state, this organization is near and dear to my heart and I encourage you to reach out and get involved in your community’s public health care system.
