Happy National Cheeseburger Day! Jimmy Buffet may have said, “I like mine with lettuce and tomato, Heinz 57, and french fried potato” but I beg to differ after visiting Hand Cut Burgers and Chop House in Old Town Scottsdale. The mushroom cheddar burger from Hand Cut has my vote for how to celebrate this classic American classic. With roasted mushrooms, aged cheddar, roasted garlic mayo & arugula drizzled with balsamic this burger is hands down one of the best in town! Yes, today is national cheeseburger day but can we please talk about the fries at Hand Cut? Not just any fries- but salt and vinegar fries with creamy dill dipping sauce! Seriously- they are out of this world. You know what else is out of this world? The chopped salad and chicken melt with brie and apples. (Get it wrapped in butter lettuce if you’re anti-carbs.) I suggest taking an Uber or having a DD if you plan on partaking in the creative daytime cocktails- they are delicious and strong.
If you haven’t been to Hand Cut, the vibe is chic and sexy. Who said burgers can’t be sexy!? We visited during lunch time but I can’t wait to go back and have dinner. The dinner menu features steaks, traditional (and untraditional) sides, and a cocktail menu that looks dangerous (in the best way.) Insider tips: Hand Cut is partaking in AZ Restaurant week this week and they offer half price steaks and bottles of wine on Tuesday nights! Check out the menu and specials from hand Cut HERE
