Happy AZ Restaurant Week 2017! Today I’m sharing one of my favorite restaurants on the lineup that not only serves incredible cuisine, but takes you on a little vacation right here in the desert. We may not have a beach in Arizona, but we do have Roy’s-the original Hawaiian hot spot that serves up delicious island inspired dishes in a relaxed and tropical atmosphere. The menu for this year’s restaurant week is stacked and for only $33 per person, this is a terrific value. Diners start with a choice of either crispy chicken spring rolls or a fresh local greens salad with onion shoyu vinaigrette followed by either hibachi salmon, braised short ribs, or a savory pan roasted half chicken. For dessert you can opt for chai tea crème brulee or my absolute favorite-Roy’s melting hot chocolate soufflé with raspberry coulis and vanilla bean ice cream. If your mouth isn’t watering yet, I’m not sure we can be friends. In all seriousness, Roy’s is awesome and one of my favorite spots to take the hubby for date night and pretend like we’re on vacation. You have until this Sunday, May 28th to take advantage of the $33 special and reservations are highly recommended!
(note: only the Chandler location is participating in restaurant week)
