Another fabulous year of delicious food, flowing cocktails, and great people watching and networking. My favorite dishes included the coconut flan by Chef Lisa Dahl of Dahl and Deluca and Mariposa, the flavorful cauliflower lollipop from the folks at St. Francis in downtown Phoenix, and The Gladly’s super fresh and flavorful tuna crudo. If you didn’t get a chance to attend the culinary classic this year- don’t worry, there will be more tickets available for next year’s event to accommodate the growing demand which is moving to the Desert Botanical Gardens- Great news for foodies in Arizona! Check out a few pictures of the 2017 event below.
Beach Ball 2017
It was a night to remember at the 2017 Beach Ball that took place at a private airplane hanger in Scottsdale. From the East Coast “Escape the Cape” décor to the “Kennedy Chic” dressed crowd, every detail was perfection. My highlights included the fantastic Atlantic ocean inspired passed appetizers of oyster shooters, shrimp skewers, mini pot pies, and coordinating cocktails. The silent auction boasted big dollar items such as international trips and even a brand new BMW. The dining room was decorated in Navy and White and the program ran flawlessly. Make sure to follow Phoenix Children’s Hospital and Friends of PCH on social media for updates about upcoming events and details about next year’s Beach Ball!
Wine for Woofs, Beer for Barks
Nothing says Friday night like a rescue animal fundraiser, dog house design competition, and fully stocked s’mores bar and that is just what the folks at AZ Aminal Welfare League pulled together for their annual wine for Woofs and Beer for Barks party that took place at Facings of America. It was a fun filled evening featuring adoptable dogs and a cut throat dog house design competition. Things got intense when a bidding war broke out benefiting the furry friends in our community! Stay tuend to the AAWL social media feeds for the latest updates and current adoptable animals!
