The counter at The Crepe Club at the Biltmore Fashion Park is both elegant and adorable serving as the perfect spot to indulge with your valentine. I discovered The Crepe Club on my quest for the perfect casual eatery to grab a quick breakfast or lunch on Valentine’s Day (or any other day for that matter!) What intrigued me about The Crepe Club was the fact that the delicate item that they are best known for (the crepe) can serve as a vessel for not only the savory entrées on the menu but also the delicate sweet-but-not-too-sweet dessert varieties. Before we talk about how incredible the food is, let me address the ambiance. Imagine an authentic Parisian street café with giant windows and pops of gold set upon a clean white backdrop. It might sound girly and chic but there were an equal number of men and women dining the day of my visit. Believe me, the place is totally impressive to both sexes.
Ok, now on to the food. If you’ve ever tried to make a crepe at home, you know it’s a nearly impossible fete. The batter, temperature, timing, and spatula flip have to be perfection. The dynamic dup behind The Crepe Club has it down to a science. A very tasty science. My favorite items on the current menu are the smoked salmon croissant sandwich, the savory chicken béchamel crepe, and of course the Nutella s’more dessert crepe. Everything is made from scratch which is obvious after 1 bite of the flakey cloud like croissant. The Crepe Club is a must visit spot for locals and out of towners alike. Positioned in the courtyard of the historic Biltmore Shops, not only does this sweet little spot make a charming date night it also makes the perfect pit stop between shopping. Bon appetite!
