There’s a new kid on the block in Arcadia and it’s nothing short of fabulous! Stella has joined the lineup of Arcadia restaurants this time bringing a modern twist on American cuisine with a touch of Italian influence. What makes Stella a stand out in my opinion in the warm and inviting neighborhood atmosphere combined with a fresh and creative menu that makes you want to meet up with friends and toast to life, which is exactly what I had the privilege of doing a few weeks ago. We started our first of what will be many meals at Stella with the grilled artichoke hearts served with melon and prosciutto- it was heavenly and just enough for the 4 of us to nibble on. I then opted for the scallops perfectly pan seared and served with various mushrooms, chorizo, and a light corn puree. DEVINE! Per the server’s recommendation I was able to try the very popular halibut which was as fresh and perfectly cooked as it gets. Besides, you had me at “parmesan pine nut crusted.” The ahi salad was just right for a lighter option and the quality of the ingredients at Stella is outstanding. Every dish screams “fresh” and “seasonal” it’s not hard to see why the trendy but unpretentious lounge area was bustling after work on a Tuesday evening. The bar was packed and the cocktail and happy hour options are some of the best I’ve seen, and we all know how much I love a good happy hour. If you live in Arcadia I highly suggest a stop into Stella and if you go for brunch, let me know how it is! I can’t wait to get back and try some of the morning options (Roasted banana french toast and mascarpone monkey bread Hello!) If you don’t live in Arcadia, Stella is worth a trip. Believe me, it takes a lot for me to leave my comfort zone of 85260 but for Stella I’d drive any distance.
