Today I’m talking about one of the sweetest places in Scottsdale. Say HELLO to Aunt Abby’s Confections located just north of the Scottsdale/Shea intersection and home to award winning French macarons. There are so many reasons why I LOVE this hidden gem so let’s get started. First of all, my little guy turned 2 last week and I knew I wanted expertly designed cookies to go with his Olympic themed birthday party. Without a doubt, I turned to Aunt Abby’s. The creative cookie geniuses at Aunt Abby’s can take any idea or theme and create one of a kind edible masterpieces. These folks definitely deserve a gold medal when it comes to hand crafted cookies! What’s even more impressive is that the cookies that are produced in small batches to ensure freshness, taste just as good as they look. I love the soft-just-out-of-the-oven quality each cookie has.

Now, Aunt Abby’s doesn’t only supply custom decorated goodies. They have a full sweet treat bake shop open 6 days a week featuring gluten free cookies, traditional coconut macaroons, colorful French macarons in exotic flavors, and the most incredible gluten free chocolate lava cookies that you will ever taste. Honestly, these cookies are worth a trip to the bakery no matter where you live. Or have them shipped to you-they can do that too. Throughout the years Aunt Abby’s has supplied many corporate clients with custom cookies and holiday gifts and they are the preferred provider of all of Billy Joel’s holiday gift giving. Impressive. Now if you can’t get by Abby’s bakery, fear not- her treats can be found at local AJ’s and Whole Foods stores and the bakers don’t just stop at cookies. Check out their custom cakes for any occasion and feel free to ask them to accommodate almost any dietary need or allergy-they can handle it!
